Many unspoken thoughts have filled my mind, so much that i am starting to suffocate.
Few weeks back a "street" bitch - as they call them in India - gave birth to four babies. such pleasure it was to watch the sight of those innocent and naive little beings being loved by their happy mother , a content family, they were . Everyday i would see their mother hiding them in a safe place, so that other dogs wont harm them. and then also if a dog came near to them, she would like threaten them to go away, and they would. Then something happened. one of them died, one of the puppies. It was really heartbreaking. It was so despairing to see the mother cry with utter desolation. The expression in her eyes was just the opposite of the expression she had when the puppies were born. continuously she went over the passed away pup and licked him, hoping that he was just sleeping and would wake up any moment, not surprisingly i was also praying the same thing, only i knew it wouldn't happen. she cried n moaned n groaned in pain, not physical, but emotional pain. and actually, i have seen that it is much more painful than the physical one. but the thing that incident made me wonder was that when they being dogs who don't have "brains" as some people say, care for their families much more than we humans do. the irony of the situation is ,here in India, people kill or worse abandon their children just because it is a girl child. what a shame it is for them to have a girl child.really sad u know. anyways, at the end of the day, I felt that dogs are much much better than us humans. They have such feeling and emotions and loyalty for their loved ones that the most of us cant even see.

Here is a picture a clicked of those puppies -

no caption needed, I think :)
